Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Knowledge of the current National Curriculum for Mathematics.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Strong pedagogical skills with a focus on student-centred learning.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in designing engaging lesson plans.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons to students across different key stages.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Creating a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Setting and marking homework and providing constructive feedback to students.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Participating in departmental meetings and whole-school training sessions.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
  • Supporting student's pastoral needs and well-being.
  • Supervising students during break times and school events as required.
  • Upholding the school's ethos and policies.
