About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality mathematics curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be instrumental in helping students develop their numeracy skills and build a solid foundation for their future, whether in further education or the workplace. The role requires a teacher who is not only knowledgeable but also able to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel safe to take risks and challenge themselves.

Pay Rate: £160 - £250 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and exam specifications.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess inspiring Maths lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and progress.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback to drive improvement.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE exams, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
  • Uphold the school's safeguarding policies, ensuring the welfare of all students.
