As a Senior Business Analyst in Data Product Development, you will identify, understand and explain business and user requirements for the UKHSA data dashboard, and internal dashboarding capabilities where appropriate. You will obtain and document requirements for new datasets and features to be included on the UKHSA data dashboard, and for internal dashboards where appropriate. You will translate business problems and user needs into a set of detailed requirements to deliver value and outcomes. This will mean working closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their business processes, architecture, structures and needs. This role involves working on complex projects, managing stakeholder relationships, working independently and having a good understanding of the work area. Essential criteria: Proven experience as a Business Analyst, working on highly complex and technical projects and business process improvements. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Has experience of discussing requirements with diverse user groups to establish deliverables. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, in particular process modelling and technical requirements elicitation. Experience of Agile working and able to identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes Experience of Business modelling and able to lead on the modelling of processes, systems and data at varying levels of detail or complexity across a project or programme Experience of Business process improvement, including identifying opportunities to improve business performance, leading the analysis, identification, design, prioritisation and implementation of process and business changes to improve business operations and services. Experience of requirements definition and management; key responsibility for eliciting, analysing and validating business requirements and user needs, using the most appropriate and effective methods whilst ensuring the requirement can be traced in the design, build and test phases. You can select and use the most appropriate tools and techniques to support the planning, analysis, development, testing, implementation and improvement of systems and services Selection Process Details: This vacancy is using Success Profiles and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills. Stage 1: Application & Sift Success profiles You will be required to complete an application form. Shortlisting:In the event of a large number of applications we will shortlist on the following essential criteria: 'Experience of requirements definition and management; key responsibility for eliciting, analysing and validating business requirements and user needs, using the most appropriate and effective methods whilst ensuring the requirement can be traced in the design, build and test phases.' Desirable criteria may be used in the event of a large number of applications / large amount of successful candidates If you are successful at this stage, you will progress to interview & assessment. Stage 2: Interview Success profiles You will be invited to a remote interview. Behaviours and Technical Skills will be tested at interview. Location This role is being offered as hybrid working based at any of our Core HQs. We offer great flexible working opportunities at UKHSA and operate using a hybrid working model where business needs allow. This provides us with greater flexibility about how and where we work, to get the best from our workforce. As a hybrid worker, you will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of your contractual working hours (approximately 3 days a week pro rata, (averaged over a month) working at one of UKHSA's core HQs (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, and London). Our core HQ offices are modern and newly refurbished with excellent city centre transport link and benefit from benefit from co-location with other government departments such as the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) Security Clearance Level Requirement Successful candidates must pass a disclosure and barring security check. Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is Basic Personnel Security Standard.
