Crynodeb
Carry out supervised and allocated planned preventative maintenance, to a range of patient connected medical devices Assist Clinical Engineering Technicians where required Undertake occasional fault-finding and repairs. Apply suitable techniques to diagnose problems, including those beyond the scope of manufacturer supplied information. Report unusual fault conditions to senior staff. Carry out supervised calibration, quality control, safety and acceptance testing Carry out supervised equipment upgrades if required as directed by the Clinical Engineering Manager or Site Lead Using developing technical and clinical experience, identify potentially hazardous symptoms and faults when in clinical areas or in talking to clinical staff. Monitor stocks of appropriate components and spares, reordering where necessary to keep an adequate stock Liaise with manufacturers to obtain technical and clinical information. Take responsibility for all tools and equipment within the Post holders care. Ensure workshop facilities are kept clear and well ordered. Provide assistance to other team members within the Facilities and Estates Division, as appropriate.
