Sunnydown School is an SEN secondary school in Caterham with an outward looking approach to education. We are looking to recruit a Finance Officer to the school office team who has ideally worked within a busy office or school previously. The ideal candidate should have good customer service, IT and communication skills. We are seeking an individual who is well-organised, efficient, flexible, calm, friendly, motivated and passionate about providing an excellent support service to our students, staff, families and visitors. Training will be given to further enhance your development within the school.
WHAT WE OFFER
Term time only plus 1 week. Monday - Friday max 20 hours per week to be worked between 9.30am-3pm (hours are negotiable)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrate good communication skills that allow effective communication with all levels of school staff, governors, pupils, contractors and 3rd party suppliers.
Experience of working in an office environment.
Excellent IT skills.
A passion for working with children.Some knowledge of finance - creating purchase orders and inputting invoices for paymentManaging the school's lettingsManaging the school's inventory
YOU WILL HAVE:
The ability to work on own initiative.
The ability to cross check to ensure effective systems.Interest is seeking best value and looking for solutions and areas for improvement within the schools spending.Interest in creating and analysing financial data.
A minimum of GCSE’s or equivalent, to include English and Maths at grade A-C.
