This fantastic Academic Mentor opportunity places you in a forward-thinking Havering secondary school, where you'll work with pupils across Key Stage 4—helping them boost their confidence, close learning gaps, and achieve success in their GCSEs.
This inclusive and academically driven school is known for its supportive leadership, excellent staff development, and commitment to every pupil's progress. As an Academic Mentor, you’ll deliver targeted academic interventions in your subject area (e.g. English, maths, science, or humanities), working 1:1 and in small groups to raise attainment and foster independent learning.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Delivering 1:1 and small group academic support in a core subject (e.g. English, maths, science, or humanities)
• Supporting GCSE preparation and helping pupils build revision, writing and analytical skills
• Identifying learning gaps and implementing effective intervention strategies
• Collaborating with teachers and SEN/pastoral staff to monitor student progress
• Encouraging motivation, self-belief, and academic resilience
• Helping create a focused and supportive learning environment
