Academic Mentor – Secondary Role | Ambitious Lambeth Secondary School
Salary: £95–£115 per day | Term-time only | Full-time

Are you a high-achieving graduate with a passion for education and academic progress? This exciting Academic Mentor opportunity places you in a vibrant and inclusive Lambeth secondary school, supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 as they prepare for key assessments, including GCSEs.

As an Academic Mentor, you'll provide targeted support to students in core subjects, help raise attainment, and build confidence in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
Key Highlights:
• Academic Mentor supporting pupils in KS3 & KS4 in Lambeth
• £95–£115 per day, depending on experience
• Full-time, term-time position starting September 2025
• Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school with a strong academic and pastoral framework
• Based in central Lambeth with excellent transport links (Victoria, Northern, Overground)

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Delivering focused 1:1 and small group academic interventions, particularly in English, maths, or science
• Supporting pupils with exam preparation, coursework, and study techniques
• Working with teachers and subject leads to identify pupils needing additional academic support
• Monitoring progress and helping students build resilience, organisation, and study habits
• Assisting with revision sessions, homework clubs, and after-school enrichment
• Helping create a calm, productive learning atmosphere in and out of class
Ideal Academic Mentor for This Lambeth School:
• Graduate with a 2:1 or above from a reputable university – strong academic background required
• Passionate about raising attainment and improving pupil outcomes
• Excellent communicator with confidence in supporting students aged 11–16
• Experience in tutoring, mentoring, or teaching support is highly desirable
• Available full-time from September 2025 to July 2026
• Ambitious to gain school-based experience before progressing into teacher training, education consultancy, or further study
