Key Highlights:
• Learning Mentor role supporting KS3 & KS4 students in Southwark

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring for students with academic, behavioural, or emotional needs
• Supporting students’ personal development, motivation, and engagement
• Assisting with goal setting, behaviour plans, and individual learning strategies
• Helping pupils develop social, emotional, and resilience skills
• Liaising with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral leads to implement student support
• Encouraging attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude to learning
• Acting as a consistent, positive adult role model for young people navigating adolescence
Ideal Learning Mentor for This Southwark School:
• Graduate or experienced mentor with a genuine passion for youth support
• Empathetic, patient, and confident working with teenagers from diverse backgrounds
• Able to build trust and rapport quickly with students who need additional guidance
• Experience in mentoring, schools, youth work, or mental health support is highly desirable
• Available full-time from September 2025 to July 2026
