Are you passionate about leading cutting-edge platforms and driving technical innovation? Do you have expertise in managing complex web and content management systems (CMS), third party vendors and suppliers as well as overseeing releases, integrations, and continuous improvement? If so, we want to hear from you!
Why Join Us?
At AAT, we’re on a mission to revolutionise our digital platforms to support the future of finance and accounting. As a Platform Manager (Products and Services), you’ll play a crucial role in managing and optimising AAT’s web platforms, CMS, and third-party systems that support our learning services, Continuous Personal Development (CPD), and other customer-facing products. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact on AAT’s digital experience, leading a team to ensure the seamless delivery of key products while continuously enhancing user experience. If you have technical expertise and leadership experience, this is the perfect role for you.
What exactly will you be doing?
As Platform Manager (Products and Services) at AAT, you will be the technical specialist overseeing our web platforms, content management systems, and third-party platforms that power our learning services and CPD offerings. While you won't be directly involved in product development, you will provide crucial technical leadership to support Product Managers across the business. Alongside developing and maintaining the technical roadmap in partnership with Product Managers, ensuring that platform enhancements align with product goals and AAT’s 2030 strategy. Your role will focus on ensuring platform stability, performance, and seamless integration. You will manage the release lifecycle, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and work closely with test analysts to maintain quality standards. A significant part of your role involves vendor management, working with third-party platform providers to ensure service quality and compliance with SLAs. You will also be working closely with other platform managers, digital experience function and team of Test Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and contributing to the broader technology strategy at AAT.
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Deep technical expertise in web platforms and CMS tools (e.g., WordPress, Sitecore, Drupal), with a focus on integration, content delivery, and user experience.
Proven experience in release management, including managing deployments and system integrations across multiple environments.
Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles, including accessibility, usability, and mobile-first design practices.
Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, including Test Analysts, Change leads, and other technical specialists.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Vendor management experience, and commercial acumen to enable negotiating contracts and ensuring third-party providers deliver quality services that meet AAT’s expectations.
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in managing technical risks and ensuring platform stability.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, driving iterative releases and continuous improvement.
What are the benefits?
At AAT we believe in treating our staff well and this is reflected in our wide-ranging benefits, which include:
Hybrid working (1-2 days per week in our London office) and opportunities for further flexible working.
25 days’ annual leave with the opportunity to buy and sell, increasing one day per year up to a maximum of 30 days plus bank holidays.
Great pension scheme whereby AAT will contribute up to 10.15%, life assurance and critical illness cover.
Health cash plan.
Regular wellbeing initiatives.
Enhanced maternity and shared parental leave contributions of up to 6 months’ full pay depending on the length of service.
Closing Date: The planned closing date for this role is 05 August 2025 at 17:00, however, we reserve the right to close the role earlier than planned.
It’s an exciting time to join AAT and we would love you to join us on our journey. In 2023 we achieved one-star company status in the Best Companies survey, and we have recently launched our strategy to 2030.
We are committed to being an inclusive and welcoming place to work. We encourage applications from diverse candidates and make recruitment decisions based on skill and experience. We have a Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Champions group, which leads on our D&I strategy and organise events to celebrate and raise awareness. We are a disability-confident committed employer and have signed up to the Race at Work Charter. We have also signed up for the Women in Finance Charter, and in 2022 we exceeded our target for appointing females into senior positions.
Come and help us to make AAT an even better place to work!
