We are working closely with a growing and well-established civil engineering contractor that's delivering high-profile infrastructure projects across Scotland. Due to continued growth and a healthy forward order book, they are looking to add an experienced Senior Site Engineer to support the successful delivery of a wide range of civils and infrastructure schemes.
What You'll Be Doing:

Acting as the lead engineer on-site, ensuring technical excellence and overseeing junior engineers

Setting out works, surveying and ensuring all technical drawings and specifications are followed accurately

Liaising closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, subcontractors and client reps to maintain alignment and productivity

Managing quality assurance documentation, ITPs, RAMS, permits and daily reporting

Coordinating temporary works and monitoring health & safety compliance

Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a positive, safety-conscious site culture

A strong civils background - particularly infrastructure, drainage, groundworks, earthworks, utilities, substations, or energy/renewables projects

Experience working for a principal contractor or tier 2 subcontractor on medium-to-large civil engineering schemes

Proficiency with setting out using robotic total station and GPS equipment

Confident in producing and managing technical documentation (QA records, as-builts, method statements, permits, etc.)

Comfortable leading small teams and mentoring graduate or junior engineers

Relevant qualifications in civil engineering (HNC/HND/Degree)

CSCS card (Engineer or higher), SMSTS or SSSTS, and First Aid (desirable)
