We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Team Manager for our Assessment and Child Protection Team within Social Care Quali. Responsibilities
Assist the Team Manager in overseeing the Assessment and Child Protection Team's operations and performance.
Support social workers in assessing risk and determining the best course of action for children and families.
Lead performance management and team development initiatives to enhance practice standards.
Participate in case reviews, ensuring all decisions are documented and in compliance with statutory requirements.
Facilitate team meetings and promote effective communication to foster a positive team environment.
Collaborate with external agencies to develop integrated support plans for children and their families.
Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of team members to maintain a high level of professional skill.
Requirements
A relevant social work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
Post-qualification experience in child protection or assessment roles.
Experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity within a social care setting.
Strong understanding of relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to child protection.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £30.49
