We are seeking an Experienced Social Worker to join our dedicated team, focusing on providing exceptional care and support for children with disabilities. As a Social Worker specializing in Social Care, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that children receive the necessary services and support to thrive. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities to determine their needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
Advocate for children's rights and access to services, ensuring their voices are heard.
Monitor and review the progress of care plans, making adjustments as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
Provide emotional support and counseling to children and their families to foster resilience and empowerment.
Collaborate with education providers to ensure appropriate educational support is in place for children with disabilities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all assessments, interventions, and follow-ups.
Requirements
A recognized Social Work qualification and current registration with the relevant governing body.
At least 3 years of experience working as a Social Worker, specifically with children with disabilities.
Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in child social care and disability services.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, families, and professionals.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment and foster positive working relationships.
Strong organization and time-management skills to handle a complex caseload efficiently.
Empathy, patience, and a commitment to promoting the well-being and development of children and their families.
