Job Summary:

We are seeking forward-thinking Hydrogen Design Engineers to join our pioneering team developing next-generation eVTOL aircraft powered by hydrogen propulsion systems. You will play a key role in the design, integration, and optimization of hydrogen storage, distribution, and fuel cell systems for sustainable electric flight. This is a high-impact position focused on innovation, safety, and future-ready aerospace technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop hydrogen storage, fuel delivery, and fuel cell integration systems for eVTOL aircraft.
Collaborate with structural, thermal, propulsion, and electrical engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Generate detailed 3D CAD models and drawings of hydrogen components and assemblies (e.g., tanks, valves, piping, sensors).
Conduct feasibility studies, thermal and structural analysis (FEM/CFD), and hydrogen safety risk assessments.
Support prototype manufacturing, testing, and certification of hydrogen systems in accordance with UK CAA and EASA regulations.
Select and specify materials compatible with cryogenic hydrogen and high-pressure environments.
Ensure compliance with aerospace safety standards, including ISO 14687, SAE J2601, and AS9100.
Contribute to internal R&D and continuous improvement initiatives for hydrogen propulsion technologies.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

3–10 years of experience in hydrogen systems design, fuel cell technology, or aerospace propulsion systems.
Experience with eVTOL, UAV, or electric aircraft systems preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks).
Knowledge of hydrogen fuel cell systems, storage technologies (Type IV tanks), and cryogenic systems.
Experience with system simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, GT-Suite).
Familiarity with fluid dynamics, pressure vessel design, and thermal management systems.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Excellent communication and teamwork in cross-functional teams.
Innovative and proactive in addressing engineering challenges.
