Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems integration and a passion for developing robust solutions that enhance system functionality. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of various systems and applications, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.

Duties

Design, develop, and implement integration solutions that connect various systems and applications.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Ensure the successful deployment of integration solutions, including testing and troubleshooting.
Maintain documentation for integration processes, system configurations, and operational procedures.
Monitor system performance and resolve any issues related to integrations.
Utilise APIs for data exchange between systems and ensure compliance with established protocols.
Work with databases such as SQL and PostgreSQL to manage data effectively.
Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure quality standards are met throughout the development process.
Provide support for VPN configurations and server management as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
3–7 years of experience in systems integration or a related role.
Strong understanding of hardware/software co-design and embedded systems (where applicable).
Hands-on experience with system-level debugging, test equipment, and integration tools.
Proficiency in integration and configuration management tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, JIRA).
Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, Modbus, RS-232).
Experience with simulation tools, interface control documents (ICDs), and version control systems.
Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++.
Experience working with XML for data representation and exchange.
Familiarity with UNIX operating systems is advantageous.
Strong understanding of APIs, SQL, PostgreSQL, VPNs, and SDLC methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Previous experience in systems integration or a related field is preferred.
