Located in the beautiful town of Newton Abbot, the facility offers a modern and well-equipped workspace. With easy access to public transportation and ample parking available, commuting to work will be a breeze.
The ideal candidate should be available Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4pm, with the possibility of occasional overtime. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.21, and overtime is paid at £18.31 per hour, with all training provided. The main responsibilities of the Production Operative will include:
- Operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce metal components according to specifications.
- Welding and fabricating metal parts using various techniques.
- Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Assisting with loading and unloading materials for production.
- Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience in metal fabrication or production is preferred, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of CNC machines and welding techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
- Manual handling experience is desirable.
