Crynodeb
The Programme Director will serve as the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for the ‘Left Shift’ initiative, which aims to develop and implement new clinical pathways that transition care from hospital settings to community-based services, and from treatment to prevention. This aligns with both Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) and national healthcare strategies
Working closely with the Joint Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Strategy Officer, the Director will lead on brining care closer to people’s own homes and communities, enabling earlier intervention and prevention, reducing health inequalities and reducing avoidable hospital admissions, working collaboratively with General Practitioners (GPs), Local Authorities (LA), Public Health, Social Care and the Voluntary, Community, Social and Faith Enterprise (VCSFE) sector to co-produce innovative ways of working
Additionally, the Director will support the development of the Target Operating Model (TOM) for the redevelopment of North Manchester General Hospital, adhering to the principles of OneMFT. This role is crucial to our strategic ambition of enabling people to live longer, healthier lives and reducing health inequalities. The Programme Director will play a pivotal role in driving strategic change and ensuring the successful delivery of key projects within the Trust
