Role Overview We are currently seeking a skilled and qualified Fire Door Surveyor to join our growing team. This mobile role will cover multiple sites across London, carrying out thorough fire door inspections and producing accurate reports in line with current legislation and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed fire door inspections and surveys in line with industry regulations (BS 8214, BM TRADA, etc.)
- Identify non-compliance issues and recommend appropriate remedial actions
- Prepare clear, accurate, and professional reports using digital reporting tools
- Communicate findings with clients and internal teams effectively
- Support Passive Fire Protection projects where required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire door regulations and standards
Requirements ✅ Qualifications & Experience:
- Must hold recognised Fire Door Inspection qualification (e.g., FDIS, BRE, BM TRADA, etc.)
- Proven experience as a Fire Door Surveyor within Passive Fire Protection
- Strong knowledge of fire door standards, compliance requirements, and relevant legislation
✅ Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong report writing and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage own schedule
- Good communication and customer service skills
✅ Additional Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- Willingness to travel within London
- Right to work in the UK
