Contract type: Full-time, long-term supply (Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30, term-time)
Daily rate: £105

An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in Cheetham Hill is searching for a skilled and compassionate EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time position involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for a young child in the Early Years Foundation Stage with autism and additional learning needs.
The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) and be confident supporting with personal care, including toileting routines, as part of daily classroom life.
Role Highlights:
- Working closely with a pupil in EYFS, adapting activities to suit their individual learning needs
- Providing personal care and supporting the child's toileting and hygiene needs with sensitivity and professionalism
- Encouraging language and communication development, potentially using visual aids, PECS, or Makaton
- Assisting with emotional regulation and responding calmly to sensory needs or changes in behaviour
- Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to implement tailored strategies and maintain consistency

What we're looking for:
- A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience supporting young children with autism or complex needs
- A patient, empathetic approach and a genuine interest in SEN provision
- Comfortable supporting with personal care and hygiene tasks
- Full-time availability and the right to work in the UK
Bonus experience (not essential):
- Familiarity with communication systems such as PECS or Makaton
- Any behaviour support training, such as Team-Teach or equivalent
- Experience working within a specialist provision or EYFS unit
