This full-time post is available immediately on a permanent basis.


This permanent role offers hybrid working at our beautiful Streatham campus in Exeter, usually 2 days per week, and from home/remote locations.


Summary of the role


We are seeking to build capacity within our team, to support with the University’s Strategy 2030 aspirations. The successful candidate will initially be working on a key strategic project with senior leaders across the organisation focusing on the ongoing sustainability of the teaching portfolio. This position has the potential to have a significant impact on the organisation and will be ideal for candidates with an inquisitive and thoughtful approach, who are adept at collaborating with both finance and non-finance colleagues.


Alongside the initial project work, the post holder will be involved with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes while working to continuously improve management information and business intelligence to support key stakeholders.


We are looking for someone with a recognised accounting qualification (or actively studying toward one). The successful candidate should also be skilled in financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement; highly IT literate, with advanced Excel skills and expertise in using and enhancing financial systems to improve efficiency and data quality; an excellent communicator who can engage with non-financial colleagues; and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
