Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and eager to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing environment. As an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner, you will support the management of our nursery, ensuring that children receive high-quality care and education while developing essential skills in childcare and leadership.

Duties

Be willing to undertake Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare course to become a professionally recognised Early Years Educator.
To work as part of the team, providing a purposeful and stimulating environment, enabling ample learning opportunities both inside and outside. Developing children's curiosity and knowledge.
To work as part of the team supporting the planning, evaluating and next steps in children's learning and development as required under the current government framework, ensuring you meet the learning needs and interests of the children extending them where necessary.
To be suggestive and support all children's learning with activities that promote open ended questions and critical thinking.
To complete all paperwork relevant to the development of the children's learning and personal growth - to include but not exclusive to: observation, starting points, trackers, learning journals, next steps, reports - transitional and yearly/quarterly.
To adhere to the nursery's commitment on safeguarding children. You must promote safeguarding to the highest level and understand current legislation. You have a duty to report and challenge inappropriate behaviour of anybody.
To promote the inclusion of all children.
To attend meetings and courses that may require travel to other locations.
To support decisions made by more senior members of staff in a professional and respectful manner.
Qualifications

A genuine interest in childcare and early childhood education.
Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while demonstrating leadership potential.
A willingness to learn and develop professionally within the nursery environment.
