Graduate Teaching Assistant: Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support the class teacher in delivering high-impact, engaging, and inclusive lessons that spark curiosity and confidence
• Lead focused 1:1 and small group interventions to boost progress and unlock potential
• Identify learning gaps or emerging strengths, helping to personalise each student’s educational journey
• Assist in preparing dynamic learning materials and well-organised classroom resources
Graduate Teaching Assistant: What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for bright, driven Graduate Teaching Assistant who are ready to make a difference from day one:
• A 1st or 2:1 degree (or predicted) in a relevant subject from a Russell Group/Oxbridge or top-30 UK University
• Strong academic track record – as a Graduate Teaching Assistant you must hold GCSEs in English, Maths & Science
• Passionate about education and exploring a future career in teaching
• A genuine interest in the learning journey of students
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Show initiative, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced school environment
• Warm, approachable, and able to build strong relationships with students and staff
