Quality Engineer
Somercotes, Derbyshire
Monday – Friday (early finish on a Friday)
£28,000 - £30,000 DOE plus large company benefits package
Our client, a successful and expanding company, is looking to appoint a Quality Engineer the main purpose of the role is to support senior management with the continuous improvement and development of the business. They are a forward-thinking company and are able to offer ongoing training and development.

Key responsibilities for Quality Engineer:
• Visual Inspection
• Dimensional work – use of Callipers, gauges, micrometres, and other hand-equipment
• Operation and programming of CMM and Planar (camera system for 2D measurement)
• Use of microscope
• Ability to write/update Work Instructions, issue Quality Alerts and other documents
• Control of non-conforming product, RCA, CAPA, 5Y, 8D
• First point of contact for Customer Concerns (with occasional visits, so needs to drive)
• SAP system usage is advantageous (or similar MRP)
• Internal Auditor qualification/experience
• Understanding of ISO9001:2015
• Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects
Experience required for the Quality Engineer role:
• Previous Quality Inspector/engineer experience
• Excellent communication skills
• PC Literate
• Pro-active
• Strong attention to detail
• Clean driving licence as you will need to visit client sites
