The school is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to start in September 2025. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You’ll be delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students through practical skills and theory, and helping them achieve excellent outcomes.
The ideal Food Technology Teacher will:

Hold QTS with a specialism in Food Technology (ECTs welcome to apply)

Have experience teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4

Be confident in lesson planning, curriculum delivery, and assessment

Demonstrate strong classroom management and a passion for teaching

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4
-
Develop students’ practical cooking skills alongside their understanding of nutrition, food hygiene, and healthy eating

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and progress

Assess, monitor, and report on student attainment and development

Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the department

Ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained in practical lessons

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote student success and wellbeing

Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and ongoing professional development
