The school is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to start in September 2025. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You’ll be delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students through practical skills and theory, and helping them achieve excellent outcomes.

The ideal Food Technology Teacher will:

• Hold QTS with a specialism in Food Technology (ECTs welcome to apply)

  
  

• Have experience teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4

  
  

• Be confident in lesson planning, curriculum delivery, and assessment

  
  

• Demonstrate strong classroom management and a passion for teaching

  
  
  Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4

    
    

  • Develop students’ practical cooking skills alongside their understanding of nutrition, food hygiene, and healthy eating

    
    

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and progress

    
    

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student attainment and development

    
    

  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the department

    
    

  • Ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained in practical lessons

    
    

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote student success and wellbeing

    
    

  • Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and ongoing professional development
