We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Senior MM Pharmacy Technician to join our team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital on a fixed term contract.
This is a fixed term band 5 position working in the MM team, throughout various clinical areas of the site including inpatient dispensary, cardiac and respiratory. It will involve working closely with nurses and healthcare professionals, helping to maintain good stock control and promoting adherence to the safe and secure handling of medicines.
We welcome applications from registered pharmacy technicians. You must possess excellent interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills and be able to work with a wide range of professionals.
The post holder will work on the wards and deliver quality care to patients at ward level through efficient medicines optimisation. This will include the assessment of patient’s own drugs, medicines reconciliation, and original pack dispensing at ward level, consultations
with patients about their medicines and coordinating the supply of discharge medication.
The post holder will work with their ward based team to continually develop the service, while maintaining high standards and achieving best practice to meet the needs of patients and the Trust. The role will also involve dispensary based responsibilities which may vary
according to the speciality / wards supported.
