Apprentice Building Surveyor

We are looking to recruit a Building Surveyor Apprentice to work within the Damp and Mould Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in Building Surveying.

About the role

All our Apprentices are paid the national living wage, and you'll be paid for your normal working hours plus your attendance at college with the opportunity to get real life experiences. You will develop the knowledge and skills in health and safety, building surveying, customer service, communication, and key behaviours required for the industry. You will learn how to carry out damp inspections as well as day to day repair surveys and empty home surveys.

Our Damp and Mould Team is committed to delivering excellent service to our customers. We represent Karbon at the frontline delivering all required damp and mould repairs. We pride ourselves on being knowledgeable, efficient and customer focused, delivering a quality customer experience.

Extensive training and ongoing support, coaching & development will be provided. This apprenticeship is for 2 years with future progression within the company after completion of the apprenticeship.

At Karbon Homes one of our key aims is to shape strong, sustainable places for our communities and one of the ways in which we do this is by creating employment opportunities for customers, particularly in those communities where we have a high concentration of homes.

About you

Whether you are fresh out of school or college or looking for a complete career change, Karbon Homes can offer you a great foundation to your future career and beyond.

We are looking for candidates who are focused, motivated and driven with a willingness to learn and develop new skills. A positive attitude to be able to succeed both in the workplace and in passing the associated qualification, someone with the ability to set and maintain excellent levels of timekeeping and attendance.

To us, an apprenticeship is more than just a job. It's an opportunity. This is why we have made the decision to make these positions available exclusively for Karbon and Byker Community Trust customers and their households.

As an organisation that strives to provide people with the strong foundations they need to fulfil their potential, it felt only right that these opportunities should be given to the people we're constantly striving to support, those in our households.
