Location: Islington, London
Contract Type: Temporary (Sickness Cover)
Start Date: 18 July 2025 End Date: 10 October 2025
Hours: 35 per week | Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:30
Rate: £31.89/hour PAYE | £42.17/hour Umbrella (Inside IR35)

The Role
We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Early Career & Talent Programme Partner to lead and enhance the Council’s apprenticeship, internship, and work experience programmes. This is a key role within the Human Resources team, aimed at developing inclusive talent pipelines and embedding innovative career pathways into the organisation’s long-term strategy—including future-focused initiatives such as AI and digital apprenticeships.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage apprenticeship, internship, and early career programmes

Commission and oversee delivery by external training providers

Negotiate contracts and partnership agreements

Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Strategic Recruitment Lead to build talent pipelines

Use data analysis and stakeholder engagement to shape programme development

Ensure alignment with organisational goals and skills demands

Essential: Proven track record in developing and delivering apprenticeship and work experience programmes

Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills

Deep understanding of apprenticeship levy usage and compliance

Data-savvy, with the ability to draw insights from systems and feedback

Passionate about workforce development and inclusive employment pathways
