Job Title Cover Supervisor

Employment Status: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 days

Actual Salary: Grade 4 – £22,312 - £25,361 (FTE £25,183 - £28,624)

Required: September 2025

Location: Whittle Academy, Coventry

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible team player for this role of Cover Supervisior.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a good standard of education including English & Maths (GCSE/Level 2)
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Has experience of working within a classroom setting and with Primary aged pupils
• Has excellent behaviour management skills
• Can work on their own initiative and also work well as part of a team
• Understands their role in safeguarding and protecting children
• Is an excellent role model

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
