What skills and experience we're looking for
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant experience in Special Educational Needs, particularly in the area of Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN).
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its application to pupils with SEND.
Proven experience in designing and delivering differentiated lessons and interventions to meet the diverse needs of SEND pupils, particularly those with complex SLCN.
Familiarity with a range of communication strategies and interventions, such as Makaton, PECS, or AAC, and a willingness to continually update knowledge and skills in this area.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals in a multidisciplinary team setting.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of children with special educational needs.
Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to plan and manage resources effectively and maintain accurate records.
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one) and eligibility to work in the UK.
