The Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team, to play a pivotal role in achieving our vision of delivering smarter, greener infrastructure brilliantly.

Here are some of the activities that you’ll get involved in:

  • Generating and reporting weekly revenue and cost reports
  • Controlling submissions of daily completed jobs
  • Working knowledge of Schedule of Rates
  • Support the authorisation and submission of project variations to authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders
  • Liaising with Operations & Planning to monitor job progress and scope changes
  • Assist management with the subcontractor supply chain, including setting up, final accounts, applications etc.

Excellent stakeholder management, proactivity and accountability are all pre-requisites for this role, as is being an excellent communicator and problem solver.

You will be using Excel regularly, so it is essential that you know all about formulas, pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s.

Ideally you will already have quantity surveying experience and worked on projects from start to finish, with a demonstrable understanding of framework agreements. Although we are open to receiving applications from graduates with a quantity surveying degree. Some experience of NEC would be advantageous.

Travel accross the Southern Water region will be required so a full and valid driving licence is essential
