Crynodeb
We’re looking for an experienced construction professional to join us as a Lead Quality Manager, helping us deliver safe, high-quality homes across our development portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the standard of homes delivered through both section 106 Schemes and design and build contractor schemes.
You’ll lead a small team of Quality Managers and take responsibility for overseeing build quality and programme on live sites, ensuring through diligent observation and inspection that properties are delivered to a consistently high standard with minimal defects.
Reporting to the Senior Quality Manager and Head of Quality and Post Construction, you’ll support the wider Development team by advising on NHBC claims, technical quality, feeding into process improvements, and helping us build safe, comfortable, and well-finished homes for our customers.
This is a home-based role with regular travel across our development patch, covering areas from South Oxfordshire to Lincolnshire. You'll need to be flexible and confident managing your own time and supporting others on site.
About You
You’ll bring a strong background in housebuilding or residential construction — ideally having worked as a Site Manager, Senior Site Manager or NHBC Inspector — with a sharp eye for programme, build quality and a commitment to delivering homes that are safe, compliant, and finished to a high standard.
You’ll hold a relevant construction-related qualification such as MCIOB, MRICS, MCABE, or bring equivalent experience gained on site. You're confident working alongside contractors, building strong relationships while holding them to account on quality, timelines, and outcomes. A results-driven approach and a focus on continuous improvement are essential, along with experience in managing budgets and ensuring best value from build programmes.
You’ll be comfortable leading and supporting a small team, coaching others to raise standards, and taking the initiative to spot and resolve defects early. Strong communication skills are key — whether working with internal colleagues or external stakeholders — and you’ll need a full driving licence with flexibility to travel across the M1 corridor region and wider at times for site visits and to attend meetings at other Group office locations.
