LSA (Learning Support Assistant) 1:1 support
West Byfleet Junior School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our pupils. This role involves providing highly effective, targeted support under the guidance of teachers and senior leaders, helping pupils become confident, independent learners.
You will play a key role in supporting pupil welfare and promoting inclusion across all aspects of school life, in line with our school values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver tailored support and interventions to pupils, both in and out of the classroom.
• Provide break and lunchtime cover to support positive peer interactions.
• Encourage independence and raise achievement through consistent, compassionate care.
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to meet individual needs.
• Promote the school’s ethos and ensure every child feels included and valued.
The successful candidate will be:
• Calm, flexible, and patient in their approach.
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Confident in providing feedback to parents and following guidance from external professionals.
You will be supported by an experienced and friendly Inclusion team who are approachable and always ready to help. We are proud of our inclusive and nurturing environment and we look forward to welcoming someone who shares our passion for supporting every child to thrive.

Days: Mon-Friday (term time)
Hours: 8.30-3.20pm (30 hours per week approx)

Salary: Surrey PS3: £24,331 (pro rata)
