Job Description:
Inspire EHC is working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Bookham, Surrey, to recruit dedicated Learning Support Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to begin a career in education, ideal for psychology graduates, career changers, or anyone passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will work closely with pupils to help them access learning, build confidence, and make progress both academically and emotionally. The school in Bookham, Surrey is known for its nurturing ethos and commitment to inclusion, making it an excellent place to develop your skills and experience.
You will provide 1:1 and small group support, delivering targeted interventions and helping to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. The successful Learning Support Assistant will become part of a caring team dedicated to helping every child achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families within the Bookham, Surrey school community.
- Assist in preparing inclusive and engaging learning materials.
- Observe, record and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
