Are you looking for a new training or education opportunity? Or have you worked in an administration environment and now want a new challenge? This could be the role for you!
Working in a department which is always in demand by instructors and students alike, you will work with a team but must be able to act on your own initiative too.
You will typically instruct courses of 8-12 students in a range of topics from administering leave, pay and appraisals to service discipline procedures and policy.
Courses typically range from 1-3 weeks, although sometimes you might deliver a short specialist subject module on a longer course.
Between courses there is time for planning, preparation and personal development.
Training is formally planned over a financial year, but is generally organised into academic term blocks, with Christmas, Easter and Summer leave periods. Individual flexibility can be achieved.
Most courses are delivered face-to-face to residential students at Worthy Down in a modern classroom environment. Some are delivered remotely, via applications such as MS Teams.
Supported by existing experienced staff, both military and civilian, you will develop as a trainer and build the depth and breadth of subject knowledge to increase the range and variety of courses you can teach. When not teaching, the team has a large open office area where collaborative working, and mutual support can take place in a happy, fun, and friendly environment.
Visits to military units can be arranged to improve your understanding of the roles being trained, as required.
All staff are provided a laptop to enable delivery of training and preparation of course material.
