Customer Service Team Leader
Customer Service Team Leader - (Maternity Cover – 18-Month Contract) - Exeter, Devon -£29,000 PA - Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

The Job:
We are recruiting on behalf of a well established business in the agricultural sector for a Customer Services Deputy Team Lead based in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to step into a key leadership role within a busy customer service operation.
This position involves supporting the Customer Services Team Lead and taking deputy responsibility for the customer service representatives at two locations, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the highest standards of customer service are delivered at every opportunity.
You will help manage a dynamic team, oversee order management, prescription and complaints processes, and play a key role in maintaining effective communication across internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver excellent tailored customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Support the Customer Service Team Lead in managing the performance of the team against agreed KPIs and objectives
- Coach and support the South RUM customer service team through daily processes, acting as a point of escalation
- Handle customer queries and problem-solve to achieve the best outcome for both the customer and the business
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
- Oversee order management, prescriptions, complaint handling and ensure accurate reporting
- Manage demand and capacity balancing, ensuring efficiency and strong service delivery
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to optimise productivity
- Ensure team members operate safely and comply with all health and safety procedures


The Candidate:

- Previous experience in a customer experience/customer service leadership role
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills and confident relationship builder
- Proactive problem solver with strong influencing skills
- IT literate with knowledge of SAP and Excel desirable
- A positive, hands-on leader with empathy and a supportive management approach
- Ability to motivate and develop team members in a fast-paced environment
