We have an opportunity for a Customer Liaison Officer to join Clancy, working closely with our South West Water team. Based within our client’s offices, this role is key in supporting both our customers and operational teams. You’ll be responsible for investigating and resolving customer queries related to works carried out on the water network, as well as assisting the Contracts and Project Manager with planned schemes.

You’ll act as a central point of contact, ensuring that customer issues are dealt with efficiently and professionally, helping maintain the high standards expected by both Clancy and South West Water.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…

  • Managing and taking ownership of customer enquiries and complaints, liaising internally with Clancy regional teams and externally with clients and their customers
  • Identifying and locating work using customer service and asset planning software
  • Providing support for planned projects across the South West
  • Monitoring social media channels and taking a proactive approach to maintain both Clancy's and the client’s reputations
  • Travelling to sites and attending face-to-face meetings with customers, as required

We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate…

Significant experience in managing customer complaints and queries, ideally in a fast-paced or sensitive environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused when handling complex or contentious situations.

You should hold a valid UK driving licence and be comfortable summarising technical information for non-technical audiences. The ability to work independently, use your initiative, and operate well as part of a team is important. Previous experience in the construction or utilities sector would be highly beneficial.
