We are seeking an experienced Level 2 SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in KS2 on a 1:1 basis with a child who has social, emotional and behaviour needs. This is a 1-year temporary post required from 21st August 2025.
• Grade: 3
• Commencing point: 5.0
• Pro rata salary: £17,129.56
• 33.33 hours per week (working hours 8.20am to 3.00pm) with a 30 min unpaid lunchbreak.
• 39 weeks per year.
*This post is subject to SEND funding, the role is not protected therefore if the child left our school: a notice period of 4 weeks would be served.
The successful candidate must:
• Have experience of working with pupils with social, emotional and behaviour needs
• Have excellent communication skills with adults and children
• Be able to deliver personalised 1:1 provision outside of the classroom
• Have awareness of SEND strategies including de-escalation which help the child meet their targets
• Meet the well-being needs of the child.
