Crynodeb
1. Women and Family centred care 1. As a midwife working with women and families with socially complex and safeguarding needs you will be; planning and implementing individualised midwifery led care in partnership with the woman and the multidisciplinary team. 2. You will be working alongside multi professional teams providing the most appropriate care for women whilst breaking down barriers that can inhibit women with socially complex lives accessing high quality maternity care. 3. In accordance with the job description of a band 6 midwife, provide antenatal and postpartum care reporting and deviations from the normal to a more experienced midwife, and respond appropriately to all emergency situations. 4. Encourage a holistic, non-stigmatizing approach to socially complex women and their families 5. Provide high quality, evidence-based care and advice to women throughout the antenatal and postnatal period in community and hospital site. 6. Work in partnership with other health care professionals and liaise closely with other agencies involved in the provisions of maternity services and seek advice from the Safeguarding Midwives/Team Leader as required. 7. Recognise that the vulnerability factors can be interrelated and that parental factors increase vulnerability to child abuse and neglect.
