Summary
ThepostholderwillworkalongsidetheLeadsafeguardingmidwivestoensurethatwomenwithsafeguardingissues receive appropriate care,support,and guidance, by developing Maternity Services to address the needs ofthis client group.
The post holder will work incollaborationbetweenthe community teamsandsafeguarding teamsworkingalongsideexternal agencies,e.g.Drug workers,SocialCareandHealth,Police,Criminal Justice,MentalHealth,Domestic Violence, other support and voluntary agencies.
The successful candidate will have a remit to coordinate care for women with safeguarding issues, domestic violence ensuring staffrespondinaprofessional,kind,caring andsensitive manner.
Working aspartofthe midwiferyteam thepostholder will providesupportandeducationto maternityandmulti- disciplinarystaff,caringforthesewomentoensureasafeandappropriateplanof careismade.
They will participate in the training staff on safeguarding issues using a Think Family approach inclusive of bothsafeguarding children, adults and unborn babies and supporting staff to manage these cases.
