Are you ready to be the welcoming face of the royal crown jewel of Surrey, located on the historic site of a Royal Tudor Palace built by King Henry VIII? Do you have a passion for excellent customer service and managing people?

We are recruiting for a dedicated and service-focused Reception Supervisor at Oatlands Park Hotel, a luxury 4-star hotel in Weybridge, Surrey.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will report to the Reception Manager. As the Reception Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a shift and the reception function.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assume responsibility for all team members and ensure they operate to stated standards, delivering excellent customer service.
- Provide a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all guests in line with the hotel's vision and values.
- Ensure all guest requests and enquiries are handled professionally, providing callers with comprehensive information regarding hotel services.
- Transfer incoming phone calls to the relevant department or take a message in their absence.
- Checking in and checking out guests.
- Ensure all requests are recorded and actioned in accordance with company policy and in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Provide induction and training to new starters.
- Build a good rapport with guests and resolve any complaints or issues.
- Be aware at all times of current business targets and focus at all times on achieving targets.
- Administer all routes of reservations to ensure room bookings are being made.
- Responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hospitality qualification or working towards one would be desirable.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Experience in using Opera Property Management System (PMS) and Microsoft Office, and be aware of the responsibilities of a Hotel Reception Desk.
- Demonstrate ability to negotiate, persuade and deal with customer complaints.
- At least 2 years' experience working on a reception desk in a customer service or reception role.
- You must be able to demonstrate best practice to subordinates and lead by example.
- A friendly, welcoming and customer focused approach, providing a consistently high standard of customer service.
- Good standard of administrative skills.
- High standard of presentation and etiquette.
- You should be able to work collaboratively with others and have good verbal communication skills.
- You must be able to work effectively under pressure.
- You should have a "can do" attitude, and be open to suggestions and constructive feedback.
- Deal with customer data in accordance with UK GDPR and data protection.
- Ability to think fast and deliver solutions on a daily basis.
- Live within a commutable distance of the hotel.
- Demonstrate efficient decision-making when selling rooms.
- You should be able to communicate with managers and directors and be able to report on business levels for the given shift.
- Attention to detail.
- Commit to continuous professional development (CPD).

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Working knowledge of Opera Property Management System (PMS) would be an advantage.

- You MUST have legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom.
- The Hotel does NOT sponsor work visas.
