Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Training Coordinator at Sellafield, Seascale and you’ll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.
To Support the HS&W team in delivery of construction. To support operational training requirements and nuclear compliance. Prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate and document HSW training activities on the project.
What you'll be doing
A site based, workforce facing role. Responsibilities include:- Play a key role in the PPP/BBK H&S team.
- Training and SQEP packs/assessments to be updated as per project requirement.
- Give competent advice across a multi-functional / discipline project.
- Build relationships with other contractors and ADT partners.
- Proactively engage with staff members, project team, and workforce.
- Personal development program will be regularly reviewed.
- Mapping out training plans and schedules.
- Conduct project-wide training assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
- Identify and respond to training requirements for employees and advise functional managers on individual training plans accordingly.
- Control and manage the Training Matrix ensuring training is always up to date, relevant and meeting organisational and site requirements.
- Make recommendations for training solution improvements including systems, processes and e-learning tools.
- Undertake any other work as directed by Head of HS&W.
- Gathering SQEP information to produce a SQEP File for new starters.
- Create SQEP files and add to the project training matrix after induction pack is received
- Ensuring project personnel have the necessary HSE training qualifications.
- Coordination and administration of learning and development activities.

- Preferred experience in Nuclear built environment.

- Strong planning, organizing and monitoring abilities.
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, personable and results focused.
- Team player.
- Willingness to work across multiple teams and functions.
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
- Additional relevant skills and qualifications in any technical area.
- NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
