We are seeking a Service Improvement Lead to join our dedicated Refugee, Resettlement and Migration Service. This role is crucial in identifying process solutions to improve the Council's customers' experience, efficient in reducing operational effort through technology and service redesign.

Salary: £42,708 to £45,718 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Location: County Hall, West Street, Chichester PO19 1RQ with required countywide travel.
Interview Date: Thursday 10 July 2025
This role requires the successful candidate to travel throughout the county for visits. Regular attendance at your base location will also be necessary, and there will be opportunities for remote work. Final arrangements will be confirmed with the successful candidate.
About the Job
As a Service Improvement Lead, you will oversee the timely and effective delivery of information and research to support optimal customer relationship management, leveraging an in-depth understanding of reporting systems that access essential data related to customer issues and experiences.
Our work in the Refugees, Resettlement & Migration Service brings a unique experience each day, filled with unexpected challenges and rewards! There are several key responsibilities that are likely to be integral to this role, including:
- Utilising data in enhancing and maintaining the customer experience.
- Assist the Operations Manager and Head of Service, as well as the wider team, during periods of change as the team adapts to deliver new and emerging workstreams to address evolving needs.
- Contribute to the development of new processes aligned with government guidance and support the implementation of innovative working methods to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Actively involved in developing innovative processes that align with government guidance and in implementing fresh ways of working that achieve the desired outcomes, making a genuine impact along the way.
- Ensuring the timely and effective delivery of data and information to facilitate informed decision-making and efficient service management, while providing analysis of complex and diverse information to help service areas understand emerging issues.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Degree, or equivalent qualification or experience, demonstrating a comparable level of applied knowledge in researching, analysing, and evaluating arguments and information.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, negotiate and persuade others to adopt a specific course of action.
- Excellent ability to research, analyse and interpret complex information combined with sound problem solving skills leading to logical and rational decisions based on available information.
- Highly computer literate, possessing strong and precise IT skills that enable meticulous research and insightful analysis of complex data, including data collection and databases, to create impactful reports and presentations.
- Keen attention to detail, able to prioritise between competing demands and to remain calm in challenging situations.
