Salary : Band 6, SCP 25-29
Full time equivalent: £35,235 - £38,626 per annum
Actual salary: £30,390.19 - £33,314.93 pro rata

Basis: Permanent, Full Time

Hours and Basis: 37 hours per week over 39 weeks per year (term time only)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, determined and committed Pastoral Manager to be part of our Pastoral Department at Saint Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy. This is an exciting time to join our flourishing team!

The Role:

Take an active role in leading the implementation of the whole school attendance strategy.
Monitoring attendance whole school, identifying students who require additional support and following procedures to ensure improving attendance trends.
To work in close collaboration with the pastoral care team to ensure the safeguarding, behaviour and attendance of all pupils in their care.
What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will be part of the Pastoral team working with the Deputy Headteacher to manage all aspects of Pastoral care for all students with a particular focus on improving whole school attendance and contributing to the effective safeguarding of pupils. The Pastoral Manager will be responsible for monitoring attendance rates, reducing pupil absence and engaging with families to support them fulfil their legal responsibilities or leading the Implementation of the whole school behaviour policy, Maintaining the levels of expectations and consistency in application of the policy.
