Summary
Developing yourself as an Assistant Site Manager in the right business can be a tough task – more often than not there’s something blocking your progress. You might find yourself paired with a Site Manager who hasn’t left his cabin since the last Covid lockdown, you might find yourself dumped with a load of customer care issues from hell, you might have joined a business who have no interest in your personal development or your might have joined a business who’ve told you after your first month that your next site is in Skegness. This one ain’t any of those.
It’s based in the Glossop area with a family firm who like to cut out the red tape of other PLC’s and one who have a pipeline of work covering Greater Manchester over the next 5 years all covering the affordable sector. This site is well underway, 74 units in total, 51 apartments and 23 traditional build houses. All super-structures and roofs are now on so it’s pretty much all hands to the deck to get the final roof works completed and then on with the internals which we envisage will take 6 months.
And that’s where your development comes in, the business are looking for a very experience Assistant Site Manager who’s on the cusp of being a Site Manager so prove yourself on this site and the next one (likely around Manchester) should yield an extra set of responsibility on a different type of build. And you’d be working with a Site Manager who’s done it both with PLC builders and smaller builders who’ll be there to help and you’ll be paid well (mid to late £40,000’s plus package) to deliver a high-quality site within a site for a housing association i.e. no awkward customers.
And along with the good salary, you’ll be given a car allowance and go into a companywide bonus scheme, too, amongst other extras. With an immediate start for the right person, this is a great time to get involved with the business as they continue to grow.
Summary:
• Experienced Assistant Site Manager with at least 4 years’ experience or a Junior Site Manager wanted for housing site in Glossop.
• Ideally, you'll have traditional build experience and be used to working at pace.
• Under the mentorship of a Senior Site Manager they'd like you operating more or less at Site Manager level.
• Excellent salary between £45,000 up to £49,000 plus benefits for the right person.
