Summary
Job Summary
We are looking for a kind , compassionate , reliable person to join a team of 5 to support 28year old young man . Wheelchair user
Must be flexible as shifts are on a 4 week rotation and different shifts each week.
Between 22-25 hours contract with chance to do extra to cover sick and holidays .
12 hours shifts mostly days but must be able to do nights.
365 days a year working .
Rate of pay: £14.70 an hour ( 22.05 bank holidays )
To support a 28 year young man with complex needs including cerebral palsy , epilepsy and limited vision in his family home on a 1-1 basis (occasional double ups)
Driving is essential.
To support in all personnel care needs.
To administer all medication including epilepsy medication and insulin.
To support him and be competent in peg feeding regime including oral feeding.
To carry out daily physio and sensory therapy.
To support him to all his activities including hydro , carriage riding and trips out.
To be able to use own initiate as 1-1 basis most of the time.
To complete daily logs , med sheets etc.
Domestic duties ie cleaning , laundry and washing .
To keep him safe against any situations and safe from any harm .
Be able to work waking nights shifts.
To show kindness and interact always.
Previous experience desirable but would consider others as full training will be giving to the right person.
