A home, not just a service
Our Wharfedale House service is home to sixteen adults with physical disabilities. Our service feels like family – relaxed, supportive, and centred around the people who live here. Every day brings new moments to celebrate: from small wins in independence to big laughs over mealtimes.
Your working hours
24 hours per week (2 nights)
You’ll need to be flexible to work weekends as part of a rota.
Shifts:
• Waking Night shifts: 8.30pm - 8.30am (12 hour shifts)

From 1 December 2025 new enhancement rates of £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm to 7am ) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins.
What you’ll do
• Support with daily living tasks such as personal care, mealtimes, and medication
• Encourage independence through a person-centred approach
• Accompany people to appointments, events, and community activities
• Keep clear, accurate records
• Most importantly – help each person live life on their own terms
What helps you shine here
• Waking night experience (ideally supporting those with physical disabilities)
• Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Personal care experience (helpful, but not essential)
• A genuine desire to help others and make a difference
