Pay: £455-£480 per week

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Edgbaston is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting whole class learning and ensuring a smooth transition for pupils starting Key Stage 1.
About the Role:
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support whole class teaching, deliver learning content, and provide additional support to children who may need extra guidance in understanding lesson material. You will play a vital part in creating a nurturing environment to help students adapt from pre-school into KS1 education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher with delivering planned lessons and activities.
- Work with groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives.
- Provide tailored support for children who require additional help understanding lesson content.
- Support children with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe and motivated.
- Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and resource management.
- Help support smooth transitions for pupils moving from pre-school to formal education.
Candidate Requirements:
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is essential.
- Previous experience working within a school or pre-school environment.
- Experience supporting children with SEN, such as ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, is highly desirable.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
