FIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL 31/08/2026

SCP 27-30, £23,812.26 to £26,397.71 ( this is the pro rata salary)

30 Hours per Week

Father Hudson’s Caritas has a vacancy for a Family Support Worker to provide a range of support services to address social and emotional needs of children and their families. We are looking for an experienced Family Support Worker with knowledge and skills to undertake direct work with vulnerable primary and secondary aged children and their families. This is a school-based role, and you will be required to work in three schools.

This role is a Fixed Term Contract until 31/08/2026, there is a possibility that this may be further extended. However, this is not guaranteed.

This role is whole year, and you will be required to work during some of the school holidays.

St Edmund Campion Catholic School
Sutton Road, Erdington, Birmingham, B23 5XA (1 day)

SS Peter & Paul Catholic Primary School
Kingsbury Road, Erdington, Birmingham B20 3AE (1 day)

Hours: 30 hours per week (four days Monday – Thursday) – Fixed Term until 31/08/2026

The salary scale for this post is SCP 27-30 paid at £23,812.26 to £26,397.71 per annum (this is the pro rata salary).

It is essential that you hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.

Working with schools, health and social care agencies and the voluntary sector, our Family Support Service supports children and families to overcome adversity and disadvantage they face, particularly where these are affecting a child’s emotional wellbeing, mental health and educational achievement.
