Band 8 £33,366 to £37,035 per annum (Pay Award Pending)
Full time 37hrs per week, permanent
Based at the Guildhall, Gainsborough (with provision to work from home)
Would you like to work for a forward thinking and innovative organisation driven by a commercial approach to tackling financial challenges, and with a Financial Strategy to become financially self-sufficient whilst enabling and supporting continued investment in the District?
We will achieve this through;
- Generating income from council services through charging, trading and investment
- Securing external funding and working in partnership to support investment in our communities
- Increase capital and revenue returns for the council through investment in housing and economic growth
- Enhancing the council’s commercial culture and capability
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic finance professional to complete our team of Finance Business Partners.
You will be proactive in providing comprehensive support and advice including budget planning, forecasting, year-end close down and project support.
You will have abilities in finance business partnering, excellent IT competencies, strong communication skills and a track record in delivering a customer focused service.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, solution focused, willing to learn and challenge, confident in their skills, self-starting with the ability to make complex information clear and understandable and who will positively embrace and influence change. You will thrive on variety and adding value.
The role will report directly to the Business Support Team Leader but will be expected to make a significant contribution to delivering the Council’s financial processes across the whole Finance Team.
