JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an energetic doer with an operational mindset and previous experience at any stage of the food launch process. The ability to effectively visualize process and create relevant documentation to support the implementation of new launches, in a clear and organized manner.


This is a field based role: Office in Hawley Wharf, Camden & The Bread Factor, Hendon



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Documentation and launches

  • Support GAIL’s food and coffee launches by creating and documenting new procedures & standards for new products, processes, and equipment in bakeries
  • Supporting the creation of our launch packs to our bakeries and breadheads
  • Supporting the product handover to GAIL’s Launch and training team with key documentation requirements
  • Updating documents to support the in-bakery implementation of food launches and product updates: recipe sheets, technical information, dietary requirements, display guide, substitution guide, shelf-life sheet


Operational coordination

  • Owning food launch administration side from concept to product. Working closely with Food Coordinator, Supply, IT and Finance teams to ensure product information is accurate and correctly set up in the system
  • Supporting the Food team, driving continuous operational improvement of in-store performance and launches. Investigate, challenge, and agree on standards


Supporting our food

  • Being a GAIL’s ambassador. Capable of building relationships with relevant stakeholders. Confident presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ensuring the right documents are in the right place at the right time
  • Identify food flow opportunities: managing and maintaining food safety needs of our bakeries
  • Effectively managing and leading the bakery ordering and production recipe changes, working closely with Senior Development Managers, Supply, IT and finance

  • Ability to create simple and dynamic visuals using Microsoft Power Point. Advanced design skills will be highly considered (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator…)
  • Good communication and written skills. Able to write and cascade operational communications. Excellent attention to details
