KEY ROLE OBJECTIVES
Ensure exceptional customer service and professional standards are
consistently delivered, creating a high-quality experience for both
customers and learners within our @34 restaurant.
Promote a welcoming and professional environment, embedding
industry best practices and supporting learners in developing realworld service skills.
Co-ordinate event planning and delivery, ensuring seamless
organisation and memorable customer experiences.
Manage our commercial marketing strategy and social media
presence to increase visibility, attract new customers, and celebrate
our successes.
Oversee restaurant maintenance and cleanliness, ensuring
compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.1 To ensure that food and beverage service operations within our commercial areas always meet our business
standards through the learners, facilities, menus and equipment.
1.2 Creating a high-performance culture.
1.3 Work closely with front of house lecturers to support daily operations, allowing them to focus on teaching and
assessment.
1.4 Support commercial growth by collaborating with the faculty team to identify and implement new commercial
opportunities, contributing to the restaurant and coffee shop’s profitability and expansion.
1.5 To proactively seek and drive activities that support the achievement of our learners and the commercial
vision. Improve competitiveness and meet financial targets.
Food and Beverage Management:

2.1 Ensure that the beverage offer compliments menus and maximises sales, delivering a service that will enhance
business opportunities.
2.2 Manage the storage and maintenance of food service equipment, accompaniments and beverage products to
deliver the best result to customers and maximum profit to the business
2.3 Monitor and manage income and costs; evaluate the control of resource allocation
2.4 Monitor customer satisfaction to ensure product and services are delivered to our professional standards and
business requirements.
2.5 Monitor standards of cleanliness, presentation and productivity.
2.6 Identify and manage risks through empowering the team, while continuously reviewing adherence to
legislation.
Collaboration within the team
3.1 Demonstrate effective methods of communication and leadership that achieve the desired results, providing
support and inspiration to the learners and lecturing team, to maximise their performance
3.2 Develop and effectively communicate plans and strategies to the faculty management group in order to
harmoniously work towards achieving business objectives.
3.2 To ensure that accurate data, as required, for example relating to finance, service and productivity, is collected
and used by the faculty for monitoring and development purposes.
3.3 To support the marketing function of the faculty by developing links with the local community, employers,
advisory bodies and other ventures.
3.4 To work with other college faculties and departments to actively promote our facilities and services.
3.5 To participate in networking events to keep fully up to date with industry sectors

To undertake such additional duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with the level of responsibility
within the College at the initial place of work or any other of the College's sites within the Exeter area.

Training
Achievement of the Level 4 Hospitality Manager apprenticeship. Onsite college delivery and 8 weekly in work reviews with an assessor.

Qualifications required
Maths and English desirable at level 4 or equivalent for GCSE.
